Average mortgage rates ticked down slightly this week, after jumping to their highest levels since September 2025 two weeks ago. The U.S. 30-year fixed mortgage rate averaged 6.48% during the week ending on June 4, according to the latest Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey (PMMS).
