Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed a 26-year-old man has been arrested as part of a murder investigation into the death of Ann Widdicombe.
The 78-year-old Reform UK spokeswoman and former Conservative minister was found dead in her Dartmoor home on Thursday morning.
The police also said the situation is not being treated as a terrorist incident after consulting with counter-terror policing as part of “initial enquiries”
