Sadie Sink will also appear in an as-yet-undisclosed role, although we know she’s likely playing the main villain, and Zabryna Guevara will reprise her Daredevil: Born Again role as Sheila Rivera. We may also see Florence Pugh’s Yelena, and the comic book characters Boomerang, Tarantula, and Ramrod, because we can’t just have a simple, straightforward superhero story anymore, it seems.
This final trailer focuses on how Peter/Spidey got here, giving us a few highlights from the prior trilogy—including the tearful farewell between Peter and MJ, in which he vows to come find her. But when he does track MJ down, working in a diner, he loses his nerve and just orders a coffee.
The second half of the trailer focuses on all the action we can expect from Brand New Day—including Banner hulking out (“No Banner. Only Hulk”), Spidey’s battle with members of the Hand (“Can we do this one at a time, please?), and another glimpse of that mysterious cloaked figure. While we do see Mando’s Scorpion, that might not actually be the real Scorpion, given that this new threat Peter faces can take on the form of anyone. At least we get to see Spidey swinging through the city with MJ in his arms again, after she agrees to trust his warning that she’s in danger. Bonus points for Ned’s spiffy Spidey-tracker app.
