    U.K. stocks higher at close of trade; Investing.com United Kingdom 100 up 0.17% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – U.K. stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Aerospace & Defense and Industrial Engineering sectors led shares higher.

    At the close in London, the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 gained 0.17%.

    The best performers of the session on the Investing.com United Kingdom 100 were Rightmove PLC (), which rose 7.25% or 29.80 points to trade at 440.60 at the close. Meanwhile, EasyJet PLC () added 5.68% or 19.90 points to end at 370.20 and Croda International PLC () was up 4.29% or 123.00 points to 2,991.00 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were ConvaTec Group PLC (), which fell 3.24% or 6.60 points to trade at 197.00 at the close. BP PLC () declined 2.48% or 14.00 points to end at 551.20 and Experian PLC () was down 2.04% or 54.00 points to 2,591.00.

    Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the London Stock Exchange by 1064 to 678 and 539 ended unchanged.

    Shares in ConvaTec Group PLC (LON:CTEC) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.24% or 6.60 to 197.00.

    Futures for June delivery was down 0.50% or 22.85 to $4,519.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, for delivery in July rose 0.84% or 0.81 to hit $97.16 a barrel, while the July contract rose 0.99% or 1.02 to trade at $103.60 a barrel.

    GBP/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.34, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.17% to 0.86.

    The Futures was up 0.17% at 99.27.
