    Netherlands stocks higher at close of trade; AEX up 1.70% By Investing.com

    Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

    At the close in Amsterdam, the rose 1.70%.

    The best performers of the session on the were Magnum Ice Cream Nv (AS:), which rose 11.45% or 1.28 points to trade at 12.44 at the close. Meanwhile, ING Groep NV (AS:) added 3.66% or 0.88 points to end at 24.76 and CVC Capital Partners PLC (AS:) was up 3.52% or 0.44 points to 12.95 in late trade.

    The worst performers of the session were Universal Music Group NV (AS:), which fell 8.08% or 1.57 points to trade at 17.82 at the close. Inpost SA (AS:) added 0.07% or 0.01 points to end at 15.22 and Adyen NV (AS:) was up 0.14% or 1.30 points to 958.50.

    Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 71 to 24 and 10 ended unchanged.

    The , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

    Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.29% or 2.45 to $104.43 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.53% or 0.59 to hit $109.85 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.44% or 65.85 to trade at $4,627.35 a troy ounce.

    EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.17, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.35% to 0.86.

    The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.84% at 98.00.
